A Love So Beautiful (致我们单纯的小美好) – Side Story 8

Their First Meeting

Chen Xiaoxi thought that she most likely had known Jiang Chen ever since she was born, perhaps her mother had even carried her while she was still wearing open pants* and walked past him also wearing open pants. (T/N: Open pants referring to the kind of pants with openings to pee/poop that infants wear before they are toilet trained)

Their University Days

The week before they went on summer holiday, Chen Xiaoxi suddenly made a phone call to Jiang Chen, making him go to the canteen to find her. As lately Jiang Chen had been following a professor and rushing lessons and exam topics, she had also been very understanding and had stopped for a while, not clinging to him and insisting to eat all three meals together, hence the moment Jiang Chen received the phone call, he hurriedly rushed to the canteen from the classroom right away.

The Days of Separation – Xiaoxi’s Chapter

Chen Xiaoxi sank into a strange cycle after breaking up with Jiang Chen, she didn’t last very long at every job, this was probably because she had made one person her centre of gravity for too long, after losing her centre of gravity, lots of things were no longer that important, if she was unhappy at her job, she would just resign and switch again, resign again and switch again.

She had just resigned from her job before Chinese New Year, the reason being that every morning, the colleague sitting beside her didn’t have a good digestive system, and often farted.
